PAYING EMPIRIA
WYPLATAJĄCE EMPIRIA (UNRAVELING EMPIRIA) is a performance inspired by the act of weaving—its history and mythology. Using choreographic tools, the concept of weaving has been expanded to the mythological idea of weaving space-time—the act of weaving the threads of time, which, by connecting the past with the future, creates the present. In her work, choreographer aleks borys draws on the practice of choreography as a technology of the sensory body, looking at the physicality of the future.

In WYPLATAJĄCE EMPIRIE, the memory of the past is recorded in the body, in movements, in DNA. The shapes of the performers' bodies intertwine in the imagination of the physicality of the future – in fantastic choreography and futuristic dance. The artist understands the future as the present, which can be reached by engaging physical consciousness.

A sensory-friendly performance
The performance opens up the possibility of contemplating movement. It invites us to pay attention to the subtle details of the dancers' moving bodies, evoking a sense of the elongation and cyclical nature of time. In this attentiveness, the experience of duration emerges—movement that does not disappear but remains.

Together, we will create a space for experiencing dance. A space for negotiating the potentiality of each moment. A space for experimenting with dreaming as a practice of imagining what might happen.

We start at 7 p.m., but we encourage you to arrive early and stay for a moment with a herbal infusion, which will be available in the foyer of the Pavilion.
