Polish-Czech sabbatical residency
The three-week “Safer Spaces” residency is an opportunity for rest and creative reflection for dance, choreography and performance artists from Czechia and Poland—whether they work individually or in pairs.
The host for the residency is the Pavilion of Dance and Other Performative Arts in Warsaw, and the coordinator is the Czech Centre in Warsaw. We are seeking four people who want to stop at the end of the year and explore their own artistic practice through the prism of the residency theme.
NOTE! Knowledge of English is a requirement for participation. The application form must be completed in English.
- Stipend of PLN 4,500 gross per resident
- Lodging in Warsaw in a shared apartment (1–21 December 2025)
- Reimbursement of travel costs to and from Warsaw and costs of local public transit
- Access to the space of the Pavilion of Dance, including the stage and common areas
Four artists in the fields of dance, choreography, and performance arts from Poland (two people) and Czechia (two people)

- Residency dates: 1–21 December 2025
- Fill in the application form.
- Write a motivational letter including your interpretation of the theme “Safer Spaces” (max. 2,400 characters).
- Enclose a brief description of your experience in the fields of dance, choreography and other performative arts (max. 800 characters).
- Enclose your CV, portfolio and links to artistic documentation.
