A series of movement improvisation classes with Aleksandra Bożek-Muszyńska for people aged 60+
THE BODY KNOWS!
It is said that creativity stems from ignorance, and that the body often knows more than the mind. As part of 90-minute meetings, we offer creative dance and movement improvisation exercises for people aged 60+. During the classes, participants develop their imagination, awareness of their own bodies, and their potential. We explore different qualities of movement, new possibilities within individual limitations, and the pleasure of movement itself. The main themes are curiosity, mindfulness, joy, and abstraction.

The classes are inspired by many years of improvisation practice and the experience of the instructor, Aleksandra Bożek-Muszyńska, in her previous work with people aged 60+. Their aim is to increase body awareness, stimulate creativity, and improve physical condition. An additional effect may be improved well-being and quality of life.

Please note: participation in the classes is only possible if there are no contraindications to physical activity.

The program of classes at the Dance and Other Performing Arts Pavilion is part of a pilot project that emphasizes the inclusion of existing Warsaw initiatives, cooperation with the local community, and accessibility to a wide, multigenerational audience.
