The Pavilion of Dance and Other Performing Arts is like a flexible, learning organism that connects artists, audiences, and urban life.

It is a space where dance operates on its own terms—as an art form, a shared experience, and a way of being together. The Pavilion’s program features performances, artist residencies, dance parties, “baby raves” and “sober raves,” site-specific projects, and a wide-ranging educational program—for everyone, regardless of age or dance experience.

We create the Pavilion together with you: through open calls, local and international collaborations, artistic experiments, and dance gatherings on the Boulevards and in Powiśle.

for artistic families with children
01
The care residency at the Dance and Other Performing Arts Pavilion is designed for families in which at least one adult is creatively active in the field of dance and choreography.

Is movement one of the mediums in which you create, and are your children between the ages of 2 and 12? During the care residency, you will receive space and support for your creative process, access to the Pavilion’s technical facilities, and childcare.

The curatorial support we provide will focus in particular on exploring ways, tools, and methods to involve children in creative processes and to open up artistic activities to children’s creativity and initiative.

RESEARCH RESIDENCY

developing one's artistic practice without pressure
02
The artist residency at the Pavilion for Dance and Other Performing Arts is a space for free development, experimentation, and the experience of being in the process. No pressure.

At the Pavilion, we believe that the creative process requires time and a safe space. In July, we are opening the Pavilion to individuals or duos who need this space to deepen ongoing research or begin work on a new project.

The time spent at the Pavilion is meant to be inspiring and eye-opening, which is why we do not require a finished stage production or other specific outcomes at the end of the residency.

Lead family workshops as part of the Performat Foundation’s DANCING FAMILIES program.

We invite individuals working in the fields of contemporary dance and choreography who wish to develop artistic practices aimed at children and their caregivers to help shape the program. We are looking for people ready to experiment, combine art with education, and propose formats open to the diversity of family experiences.

The Performat Foundation’s Dancing Families is Poland’s first experimental dance program aimed at families with children. In the first half of 2026, the Pavilion of Dance and Other Performing Arts hosted dozens of classes and workshops during which older and younger participants explored movement together and created a space for creative exchange.

CHOREOGRAPHY AT THE PAVILION
Interdisciplinary workshops
04
Choreography at the Pavilion is a course dedicated to choreographic and performative practices, conducted in collaboration with the Burdąg Foundation. This is another iteration and development of Poland's first experimental choreography course, CHOREOGRAPHY AT THE CENTRE,
which has been run by the Burdąg Foundation for many years.

Choreography at the Pavilion expands its format by involving creators from Poland and Europe whose practices extend beyond the boundaries of dance and choreography, collaborating with other art forms.

The course is divided into four thematic blocks, each lasting 2.5 days:
● Lighting Direction (led by: Aleksandr Prowaliński, PL/BY),
● Dramaturgy (led by: Ana Dubljevic, RS),
● Music (led by: Małgorzata Haduch, PL),
● New Technologies (led by: Alex Whitley, UK).

The one-time cost of participation in the full course is 1000 PLN gross
