We are looking for women from Warsaw, ages 40–65, to participate in a project and a performance!
As part of a guest performance at the Pavilion of Dance and Other Performing Arts, we are looking for women passionate about dance, aged 40–65.
The performance “When the Bleeding Stops” by Lovísa Ósk Gunnarsdóttir addresses the silence and taboos surrounding menopause, as well as personal experiences related to aging. The performance portrays a world full of sensitivity, shame, empathy, and humor. It takes us on a journey into the private lives of various people and explores the multifaceted experiences women have with menopause. “When the Bleeding Stops” is a celebration of life at every stage!
No dance or stage experience is required! The project’s working language is English.
Participation in the project begins in early September and will initially take place online. It includes individual conversations with the choreographer and dancing at home. During the process, short video recordings may be created, and excerpts from these—after consultation with the participants—may be presented on stage. Participants are invited to take part in the performance and dance show on stage at the Pavilion of Dance and Other Performing Arts.
