EDUCATIONAL TUESDAYS - Dance as Meditation
“Dance as Meditation” is an open practice in which movement becomes a form of meditation and a way to deepen one’s connection with one’s own body. The classes are open to all adults, regardless of dance experience or prior practice of meditation and mindfulness.

This session combines bodywork, mindfulness, breath, and sound. Through movement, silence, and attentive self-reflection, participants will focus their attention on their bodies, their sensations, and their presence in the moment. The practice offers an opportunity to slow down, observe one’s own reactions, and follow the movement impulses that arise.

The sessions are accompanied by the sounds of singing bowls, bells, and a gong. The program includes both guided exercises based on moving meditation techniques and time set aside for free improvisation.

This practice can help:

  • deepening one's connection with the body,
  • relieving tension,
  • developing awareness of one's body and surroundings,
  • mindfulness of emotions and one's own feelings,
  • calm and focus,
  • the freedom to experience movement.

Participants can engage in the practice without any expectations regarding the outcome or the way the movement is performed. This is a time for feeling, moving, and being fully present with oneself.
