To mark the upcoming 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence, the “Independence Feast”—a food and music event featuring a handicraft market—will take place on Saturday evening, August 22, on the Paloma terrace on the Vistula River, organized by the GALAS collective.
GALAS is a group of people creating a space for integration, solidarity, fun, and charitable support for Ukraine, in line with the motto that caring for the community is a necessity and conscious joy is a form of resistance. Through music, dance, shared meals, and acts of solidarity, GALAS creates a space of presence, empathy, and shared responsibility.
On the Paloma terrace, guest Ukrainian DJs gummi and madikoptah will perform, while Sasha Screeep will delight your palates with a special, original menu created for this event, inspired by contemporary Ukrainian cuisine.
The event will be accompanied by a craft market featuring independent brands selected through an open call.
This is a charity event dedicated to those affected by the war.
All proceeds from the sale of dishes and Paloma’s signature drink menu will be donated to charity.
Event attendees will be able to make a donation to a cause of their choice through a verified fundraiser for the organization Aidx10.
