Workshop with Śomi Śniegocka

The Dreaming Ear
The Dreaming Ear workshop consists of practices of deep listening and working with the imagination, led by Śomi Śniegocka. The workshop draws on Deep Listening practices, work with the imagination rooted in Kabbalistic traditions, and the concept of the dreaming body. Sound is treated here as a magical medium—a threshold between the internal and the external, memory and disorientation, the human and the more-than-human.

The workshop is free; please download a free ticket.
Part of the workshop takes place outdoors.

Duration: 3 hours
Sound and visual artist, performer. A graduate of the Intermedia Department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków and the PACAP 8 / Mystery School of Choreography program for performing artists in Lisbon. She leads the sound studio at the UKEN Institute of Art and Design in Kraków.

She works with poetry, bodily practices, and deep listening. She is interested in dreams, other dimensions of time, and the fine line between wakefulness and dreaming. She views walking as a method of exploration and a way of relating to place and to the more-than-human. Since 2014, she has been leading one-on-one walks (dreaming walks), which stem from her personal experience of sleepwalking.

In her work, she engages with processes of animal embodiment and transformation, exploring intuition and layers of perception. Her practice unfolds through the imagination as a space of transition—between forms and states of being.
