Unsound Warsaw 2026 x Dance Pavilion: “Moyang 先祖 & Seaman 漁師”
Unsound 2026 kicks off on October 2, and it’s hard to imagine a better start than the immersive new production by Tianzhuo Chen (aka ASIANDOPEBOYS) and dancer and choreographer Siko Setyanto. If you’ve had the chance to see Chen’s earlier works—such as the theater-rave spectacle TRANCE or its eight-hour expansion PHYSIS—you surely know why we’re so excited about this latest collaboration.

Moyang 先祖 & Seaman 漁師 expands on the 2024 project *Ocean Cage*, focusing on its two main characters: Moyang (ancestor) and Seaman (fisherman). The work explores the encounter between ancient traditions and expressive dance improvisation. It draws on the ritualistic language of Japanese Noh theater, while also harnessing the fluidity and boundlessness of the ocean to evoke stories that transcend borders and time.

Accompanied by live music from Indonesian artists Kadapat and Nova Ruth, the performance unfolds as a mesmerizing encounter between ritual, movement, and sound.

Individual tickets for the performance on Friday, October 2, are now on sale. The performance on Saturday, October 3, is available exclusively to holders of the Warszawa Pass and the Warszawa–Kraków Pass.

The event is presented in collaboration between the Unsound Festival and the Pavilion of Dance and Other Performing Arts.

Running time: 165 minutes + 20-minute intermission
This event is for audiences 18 and older.
