felicita “pure form I” and DJ sets
Pavilion of Dance x Ephemera
To mark the opening of the Pavilion of Dance and Other Performing Arts, composer and artist felicita (Dominik Dworak) will present a musical-performative experience centered around a new work in progress: pure form I.

Created in collaboration with ballet choreographer and dancer Antonio Lanzo and a team of Polish dancers, pure form I draws inspiration from the life, ideas, and visions of Witkacy — Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz. It is an experimental fusion of classical ballet and new music — a psychedelic romance delving into dreams, euphoria, and psychosis.

Performers include Nikodem Bialik, Antonio Lanzo, Dan Ozeri, Bogumiła Rozwadowska, and Barbara Derleta. Costumes were designed by Maria Duda, and lighting by Aleksandr Prowalinski. The event is curated by Małgorzata Płysa and Mat Schulz (Ephemera / Unsound).

The performance will be accompanied by musical interventions and a DJ set by aya, a sound artist and producer who blends electronics with sound system culture and performance.

Duration: 180 minutes

An English-Polish composer and artist based in London. He has released two albums — hej! (2018) and Spalarkle (2023). He frequently collaborates with avant-pop artists such as Caroline Polachek and A.G. Cook, and his work also spans visual arts, theater, and fashion. In his works, he explores the folkloric, personal, and fantastic through multidisciplinary experiments with music, performance, and world-building.

From 2016 to 2020, felicita collaborated with the 'Śląsk' Song and Dance Ensemble on an experimental dance performance titled 'Soft Power,' a fusion of Polish folk dance and new music. 'Soft Power' premiered at the Unsound festival in Krakow and was subsequently presented in Warsaw, London, Gdańsk, and New York.
Currently, felicita is an artist-in-residence at Somerset House Studios in London.

felicita (Dominik Dworak)
A sound artist and producer hailing from the Pennines region in the North Atlantic part of the world [Huddersfield, England]. Her work primarily focuses on the transformative power of experience and memory and their impact on the physical body. By combining the branching structures of sound system culture with de-localized online scenes and post-hardcore lamentations, she creates raw sculptures from genre alloys.

Her recordings have been released by labels such as Hyperdub, YCO, Tri Angle, Wisdom Teeth, and Astral Plane Recordings, not to mention numerous commissioned remix projects. In October 2021, she released her debut album im hole, which received enthusiastic critical acclaim — including a Best New Music designation from Pitchfork.
On March 28, 2025, her album hexed! was released via Hyperdub; the record garnered even more praise than her debut, as did her distinctive live performances and DJ sets. Aya also co-runs the aforementioned YCO label with BFTT. She has created music for projects for the BBC, Manchester International Festival, NTS, and the CTM festival.
