KISS
KISS is a choreography for three dancers by Kasia Wolińska, created in intimate dialogue with Prince's posthumously released album Piano& A Microphone 1983. The performance premiered during the SENSE series at Radialsystem in 2022, and its gallery version, KISS (extended), was presented as part of the performance program for the opening of the new building of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw in October 2024.

KISS celebrates dance as a fundamental, joyful expression of human vitality and creativity. It draws inspiration from Prince's unique artistry, moving freely between diverse aesthetics and musical styles, and takes as its starting point the album's score, arranged by Oleg Dziewanowski. The choreography becomes a game that mobilizes interactions between the dancers' bodies and their relationship with the physical and affective experience of the audience. It masterfully explores the multitude of techniques, qualities, and heritage of dance, restoring its emotional richness and musicality. The result is a shared experience of movement and connection, full of vitality and rhythm.

The KISS show will end with a DJ set accompanying the performance, hosted by Jędrzej Dudek.

Kasia Wolińska's performance is presented as part of the Warsaw Calling review, consisting of works by Polish choreographers who live and work in Berlin.

Duration: 35 minutes plus DJ set
