Let's Create a Dance Routine Together – Family Workshops with Anna Nowicka
DANCING FAMILIES
How do you create a choreography? How do you write it down so that someone else can dance what was born in our imagination? What kind of pattern will emerge when the participants move close to one another? What will happen when they spread out across the entire space? How will the same choreography performed to music differ from one danced in silence?

During the workshop, participants will work together and individually to invent movements, combine them into short sequences, and explore how dance emerges from simple gestures. To ensure that not a single idea is lost, all activities will be sketched. Then they’ll dance, trying to translate the drawings into choreography. They’ll discover that dance can be understood in many different ways, and that no one way is better than another.

This workshop is an invitation to creative collaboration for children ages 8–11 and their adult caregivers. All participants will have the opportunity to discover the choreographers within themselves, using imagination and movement to create surprising images and worlds.

Duration: 60 minutes

, an event for families with children ages 8–11
