STORM
STORM is a solo work by Paweł Sakowicz. The performance was based on choreographic material that the artist presented at the Sapieha Palace in Vilnius during the opening of the group exhibition Breaking the Joints.

Sakowicz, known for such works as the solo "Jumpcore" and the group "Masakra," "Boa," and "Laguna," in which he explored the history of dance and issues of cultural appropriation in choreography, continues his artistic research into intense physicality and the activation of different parts of the body.

In STORM, the main theme is the hips and the energy of change rooted in them. Referring to his personal history of dance and the stylistics of animation and cinema from a century ago, the artist activates his hips, which alternately open, rotate, tense, and freeze.
